What tests are required before treatment starts?
Both the man and woman will require a treatment assessment before treatment can begin, including: • blood tests to check for infectious diseases HIV and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C • blood tests to measure the woman’s hormone levels – and occasionally the man’s too • a vaginal ultrasound scan of the woman • a sperm sample for analysis from the man
