A history, physical exam, breast and pelvic exam will be done for routine GYN visits. In addition, a pap smear screens for cervical cancer. Testing for sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, and chlamydia can be done if desired. Blood tests for HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis and herpes can be done at the patient’s request.
