What test are within to diagnose coronary artery blockage?
My mom who is 65 had a thallium stress test recently and the doctor stated he considered necessary a more conclusive test, since he thinks there may be blockage within 2 of the artery’s. He recommended what he called a 10 minute procedure involving a catheter, from what i have been reading is call a Angiogram. other is really reluctant, when it comes to anything sounding like heart surgery as my father also passed due to complications when he had his bypass surgery. Since the doctor was not likely to take the time to explain the procedure he is recommending, he seemed more within a rush to see the next patient even after knowing my father’s situation, I wanted to know what option and types tests are there that can give a massively conclusive answer to the health of her heart. She has never had any issues with cholesterol adjectives her exams showed as normal, and the cardiologist had stated after her Ultrasound that there be no damage and the heart was strong. I would like to thank any
