What terminals work with AIRPAL?

0

Due to the ever-changing variety of terminals and application software it is difficult to test every combination. By design AIRPAL should work with almost any terminal that requires a dial tone line to transmit its data. The complications are usually related to the software application and how the terminal dials into the Host Processor. Two issues that have been found to be a problem are: 1. The Host Processor phone number is not a valid number for a cellular network. The “950” exchange is not recognized by most cellular networks, and local exchange numbers will most likely not work if you roam outside of your wireless system’s local coverage area. For the best results your terminal should be programmed with an “800” number to minimize any dialing issues. 2. Your terminal “pre dials” the Host Processor. This is when a card is swiped on the terminal and the terminal dials the host before you enter the remaining information, such as the total dollar amount of the sale. For use with AIRPA
