What temperature scale is used by scientists?
Scientists use all of the scales, but avoid Farenheit. Farenheit is not preferred, but it is cited in some cases to provide a “translation” for others who may not be familiar with Celsius. (Even a scientist in the U.S. will probably tell you the room temperature in Farenheit.) Celsius is perferred by scientists, but so is Kelvin, particularly for extremely high temperatures. All are used, but Celsius and Kelvin are preferred.
