What technical decisions are being made?
A The technical group is currently debating the best approach at maintaining a “single-signon” solution at UWF using the ArgoNet username/password. We plan to deliver access to our existing ArgoMail system through a channel in the portal. Although a calendaring solution is provided as part of the portal, we have not made any decisions as to the viability of that calendar solution for either event or personal calendaring. We will not make a decision about the future calendaring solution until we have had an opportunity to review the information collected in the focus groups, and that we are satisfied that the calendar provides at the very least comparable functionality to Meeting Maker (for personal calendaring) and the NAUTICAL calendar or third-party equivalent (for event calendaring). We anticipate holding further focus groups specifically to address the calendaring solution.
