What teaching methodologies are best suited for science?
Students often find that science is more difficult to learn than other subjects. This is true for at least three reasons. First, science courses typically introduce a great many new concepts very quickly. Second, life experiences often lead to naïve theories and beliefs, (intuitive understandings learners construct based on their day to day experiences); third, discovery learning, is consistent with the view that learners record rather than construct understanding (Eggen et. al.). Listed are common and practical strategies to use when teaching science. (Chiappetta, Egan L., Colletta, Alfred T., Koballa, Thomas R. Science Instruction in the Middle and Secondary Schools. 1998. Demonstration.- Demonstrations illustrate and help explain ideas through concrete means. They focus attention to main ideas and are a efficient means
