What tcp/ip ports are needed by the inter.net.works Web Daemon ?

0

Web Daemon is compatible with most personal firewalls and web utilities including with ad blockers, popup stoppers and antispy tools. However, there may some instances where you may need to define TCP/IP ports or an HTTP proxy within the product for functionality with Accelerate IT. Web Daemon opens an HTTP proxy at 127.0.0.1 on port 8080 and requires access to TCP port 7797 and 7798. These ports are not typically closed on a firewall as a default. If your firewall has intrusion detection capability, you may be prompted to answer two questions. First, if it is OK for “PropelAC.exe” (which is a process within the Web Daemon) to act as a server and then if it is OK to allow “PropelAC.exe” to access the internet. Once you choose YES to these questions and save the answers, your intrusion detection should not interfere with the acceleration.
