Laws and situations do vary. We suggest that candidates contact their insurance agent, tax accountant and the IRS for answers specific to their situation. STEPS TO MAKE A MATCH: 1. Call for a homeowner/homeseeker application. 2. Return the completed application. 3. Set up an interview. 4. Agree to a criminal background check and three personal reference checks. 5. Homeowners will also agree to an in-home assessment. 6. Meet and interview candidates. 7. Choose a candidate, set up HomeShare agreement and enter into the 30-day match trial period. 8. Experience homesharing for 30-days, finalize the match with HomeShare staff.
