right answers: The one that has the patterns and colors that appeal to you. The one that is associated with your father’s clan. The one that is associated with your mother’s ancestry. If there is no family clan name, then the one that is associated with the district in which your ancestors (mother’s and father’s) lived. The book So You’re Going to Wear the Kilt has good advice. I personally wear both MacGregor (father’s family) and McLean (paternal grandmother’s family).
