What systems will be in place to safeguard against financial abuse?
The spending of a Personal Budget will be monitored and reviewed against the agreed support plan. People will have to have a Personal Budget bank account and provide statements and receipts. According to In-Control there is no evidence either from Direct Payments or from In-Control’s work that people will misuse the money. The usual safeguarding arrangements and systems will be used where any financial abuse of the customer is suspected.
