What system of ethics does Wicca have?

Wicca doesn’t have universal dogma or doctrine that you can compare to revealed text/word religions. However, there are two ethical beliefs that are universal to Wicca. 1.) The Law of Return (or Threefold Law) – Whatever you do (either physically, verbally, or magically) comes back to you, usually amplified. Some say it is magnified 3 times (thus the Threefold Law or Law of Three terms used to describe this). This is close to the idea of kharma, but the idea is that the return is more immediate – typically within this lifetime. I would liken it more to Newton’s Third Law of Motion – for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It is a natural phenomenon rather than a punishment or reward bestowed by a deity. The difference with Newton’s Law is that we believe it applies to human behavior and that the return is usually amplified. The reasons for this vary, but often it is because of human nature, especially desires for vengeance when we are talking about harmful behavior. T
