What symptoms would be noticed within the processing of files that could be accessed from both workstation/microkernel engine at the same time?
Both Pervasive.SQL 7 and Pervasive.SQL 2000 do not allow more than one engine to open files at the same time. This is true of two workstation engines or any combination of WE, WGE, or C/S engine. This is because the mechanisms within Windows (as opposed to DOS and NetWare) do not efficiently support the MEFS methods that were used in Btrieve 5.x and 6.15. The Btrieve v6.15 workstation engine (WE) was the last product to support MEFS.
