What sweeteners are allowed on the VLCD phase of the HCG diet?
Stevia and saccharin are both allowed but we do not necessarily recommend saccharin. Stevia is an all natural sweetener that doesn’t pose the potential health problems saccharin does. But be careful, there are some stevia drinks on the market which sound like they should be HCG diet friendly but in fact have other forms of sugar as well. Make sure you read the complete list of ingredients before you buy it.
