1) What surfaces can you use it on? Thomas’ will adhere well to – – all surfaces with an existing latex or oil-based coating – glass oven doors – glass – ceramic tile – brass – Formica, laminate and cultured marble countertops – painted or primed – plastic, wood, drywall, chrome, and laminates. Note, adhesion to glossy surfaces such as brass, plastics and chrome is aided by lightly sanding or ‘deglossing them first with a very fine grit sand paper or sponge. When coating bare wood, bare drywall, chrome or laminates, we recommend priming them first with Zinsser’s Bulls Eye 1-2-3 water-based primer. Apply one to two coats of the primer with our foam roller and brushes, using the same technique as your Thomas’ Stainless SteelTM finish ensuring consistency between your finishes. On glossy surfaces such as plastics, brass or chrome, de-gloss them first with a very fine grit sand paper to promote proper adhesion.
