Heat is the third item necessary. It doesn’t necessarily need to be hot heat. Some fuels will oxidize at extremely low temperatures, will below zero. There is heat at temperatures above absolute zero. All three are mutually needed to support combustion. Remove any one and combustion stops.

There are three components of the fire triangle — air, fuel and heat source — for combustion to take place. Without one of them, combustion will not take place. Hope this helps.
