What support will be given to PCTs to make evaluation decisions?
If a PCT felt they required support, the central programme team would source this and ensure there were no Conflicts of Interest. An example would be sourcing clinical input to the evaluation. The PCT are responsible for awarding the contract and have responsibility for evaluating the tenders. As part of Investing for Health Project 11, PCT capacity to deal with these procurements is a key outcome.
