The Indiana Department of Education/Center for Exceptional Learners’ response to the NIMAS compliance is the Indiana Center for Accessible Materials (ICAM), at the Southern Indiana Educational Resource Center (SIEC), in Jasper, Indiana. ICAM will take requests, from local educational agencies, for textbooks and core curriculum instructional material in accessible formats and tangibles for use by qualifying print disabled students for use in accessing the curriculum. All requests will be processed through the Indiana Center for Accessible Materials (ICAM). The ICAM will route requests for processing to the following agencies: 1) Jasper ICAM (Digital and audio files for all students with a print disability.) 2) IERC (Braille, large print and accessibility aids and equipment for students who are blind and visually impaired.
