What support is available from the YJB to help prepare for implementation of the Scaled Approach?
We are committed to ensuring that the national roll out of the Scaled Approach is successful and undertaken in a way that ensures YOTs are well prepared and supported. We have therefore put the following in place: • Open University training for staff and managers from April 2009 with specific focus on the theory behind the Scaled Approach and assessment quality and provisions of the YRO • new and updated Key Elements of Effective Practice have been distributed to all YOTs. Self-assessments against the Key Elements of Effective Practice – Assessment, Planning Interventions and Supervision will help YOTs prepare for the Scaled Approach • support from our regional/ Wales teams for those YOTs who may need more support to prepare for implementation • targeted support through the YJB’s consultancy service to support identified YOTs with implementation of the Scaled Approach and YRO • toolkits containing slide packs and other briefing materials for use by YOTs with their management board, cou
