What support is available for summer conference guests and interns?
Conference participants who stay in the residence halls have access to Emory’s ethernet network and the Internet. However, access to Emory’s modem pool is not allowed from any phone jack associated with a 251 prefix. This means that participants may configure their personal workstations that have already-installed ethernet cards (Network Interface Cards) for access to the network, but if the workstations have only a modem installed, users must dial up their own Internet Service Provider for access to the network. Network Access Criteria If you are a summer conference guest at Emory, you may be granted access to Emory’s ethernet network and the Internet after meeting the following criteria: • Your computer must have anti-virus software installed, updated, and regularly scanning for viruses.
