NComm provides functions for implementing protection switching. The criteria for triggering a protection switch are left to the designer.The Trunk Synchronization function captures the current trunk conditions including all configuration parameters as well as alarm conditions and timers, and performance report databases. This entire set of information can then be moved to another trunk as required.
