What supplies would I need to launch a 6 foot model rocket?

Unfortunately you have left too many variables open. A 6 foot model rocket could be a stick with an engine or a full scale replica model of the Saturn 5. There are many 6 foot models on the market and some require no more than a “C” engine and some require “D” or “E” engines. Most of my rockets are between 4 and 6 feet in height and only require “C” engines (they are home built and weigh less than store bought models – I engineer them properly so they fly higher on less thrust). You need engines, igniters, a launch pad, batteries, a large field, a recovery system (parachute), wadding (so you don’t burn the ‘chute) — this usually comes with the rocket or the launch system. Any hobby store could help you to determine your needs. Walmart sells prepackaged launch systems. Also the front of the package tells you what you need – so read the directions first! Assemble the rocket carefully and use a proper launch pad and electric system. There are many sites like www.semroc.com and www.unclem
