What supplies are necessary for rabbit care?
Are you looking for a pet rabbit or just an outside rabbit, because the care varies. If it is outside, you don’t need shavings. A wire bottomed-cage and a tray to catch the droppings is all you really need. I breed rabbits, and I just feed them the rabbit chow from Walmart, it’s cheaper then feed stores, but has the same nutritional value. You will also need a pair of nail clippers, the dog nail clippers are the best kind. If you don’t clip their nails every three weeks or so, they will get sore hocks, which is painful to the rabbits. Also, get them something to chew on. Rabbits’ teeth are growing constantly, and if they don’t grind them down, they will get malcolussion. Also, if the rabbit is inside, you can litter-box train it, with a corner litterbox.
