There is probably no successful company of any sort that would want to purchase one of the USA auto manufactures with the intent to produce automobiles. Potential buyers might be interested in parting out the assets and closing the doors. Those interested in some parts might be named below. The Auto Industry has speculated in the past that Toyota might buy GM. They already have a shared interests in an assembly plant in California. Probably more interested are several Chinese auto manufacturers who would like to sell their products in the USA and currently have a joint venture building GM cars in China.
