What subjects should I take in senior to become a forensic pathologist?
A forensic pathologist is a doctor, so you should prepare yourself to be a pre-med undergrad. That means lots of math and science. After undergrad you’d go to med school, then do your residency. After that you’d do a pathology fellowship at a medical examiner’s office so you get on-the-job experience while you study for your board certification. The board cert is very important–no medical examiner’s office will hire you without being certified. It’s not so freaky to work with the dead. They need somebody to tell the story of their last few moments of life, so it’s actually a really important calling. Good luck.
