What styles of photography are adopted?
There are a few options. I know Jack Evance gave a good example, but for my part I’d say it’s about time to add to that with something like what these guys are doing – https://www.splento.com/gb/corporate-event-photography-in-edinburgh. This is a really important area – Corporate photography!
In fact, you can use anything you want!
Photography is an art that is constantly evolving and there is nothing more unpredictable. You can take any pictures you want, black and white, color, with the effect of red lens flare
I would recommend you not to limit yourself and shoot everything you like.
Photography is an all encompassing term used for all types of image capture, but there are in fact distinct variations in the manner in which photography is approached in different genres. Different genres of photography require a different style and perspective. The techniques used by photographers vary based on the subject, the situation, and the end use of the image or scene.
There are some styles that I know: Landscape photography
– Wildlife photography
– Sports events
– Photo-journalism
– Fashion photography
– Black & White treatment
– Shooting Celebrities
Both Reportage and Classic styles are adopted in whatever ratio you the client desires. The Reportage style provides a non-intrusive way of working thus minimising or entirely doing away with any breaks in the proceedings.Perhaps this style most of all captures all the atmosphere, all of the “essence” of the day,the photographer becomes part of the proceedings, and is able to catch expressions and mood however fleeting. The Classic option represents a truly lovely style where a detailed record of people and what they were wearing and all the various venues used i.e. the home, the church, registry office or other venue, the car and the reception is wanted. Where clients request a combination of classic and reportage style the two approaches blend in harmoniously within the total coverage.
