What style of number plates does Regfinder search?
Regfinder is designed to search for words and names within registration numbers that it is possible to buy from the DVLA general stock. We search from ‘A’ in the prefix number plates (July 1984) to ’13’ in the current style number plates (March 2013). Q: Can I search future issue registrations? A: Yes although it is not possible to buy registration numbers much before their release date so the DVLA do not display them until close to that time. Therefore, although Regfinder.net can easily search out and categorise words and names at least 20 years into the future, we cannot know the prices that the DVLA will set for them. Any future number plates Regfinder finds are listed in the ‘Not for sale’ list until they become available.
