What study aids and resources are available for students?
All students have access to the Oxford Brookes and University of Oxford libraries, where the key primate journals, and up-to-date books are held. You will be asked to submit information for your library card two months before your arrival in Oxford. A separate resources room, housing primate-related newsletters, environmental education materials, and off-prints provides a useful supplement to the libraries. A dedicated laboratory space for Primate Conservation and the Nocturnal Primate Research Group is equipped with up-to-date software for analyses of various types of data, including: • GIS • sound analysis • home range analysis • statistics • population-related programs (e.g. Vortex, Distance, Presence) The dissertations of past students are also available here for your perusal, and a common seating area allows for a useful discussion space to meet with staff and students.
