What strategy has Microsoft adopted to educate the Indian market about the .NET architecture?
In India .Net technology has huge potential because of the business benefits it offers companies. Enterprises are looking at the integration of their legacy systems, which have islands of data stored in them. Since these systems have been deployed in isolation, there is an urgent need for integration by retaining the old systems and here’s where .Net comes into picture. Our initiatives are segregated among various communities, which would make use of .Net technology for specific purposes most suited to them. The software services community is obviously our prime target. The academic community is another segment that is enthusiastic about .Net. In addition, we are holding various education seminars to address the developer community in India. The best example would be Tech Ed 2002, which would be the best showcase for the uses of .Net.
