What steps or plans have been made to partner with the City to develop a strategy to support the communities impacted by the restructuring plans?
At this point, the Superintendent and School Board President have been in contact with the City Manager and Mayor. Further coordination and planning will occur as the study progresses to a final decision. The District is aware that its actions have implications to other sectors, including the City, business and neighborhoods. The process used in the study has been very open so that all parties engage in dialogue to develop ideas and strategies that will provide the best opportunities for all students to maximize their potential while operating in an efficient manner.
