What steps need to be taken when submitting a point for modification?
A.When submitting points that need to be modified, the data provider will use the same structure that is normally used and should put in the correct data in the specified fields. Upon receiving the files, the IHS Energy liaison will run it through a process that automatically picks up on differences between what IHS currently has in our database and what the data provider is submitting in this new file. Changes to existing records are reviewed by your data liaison and incorporated into the Common Code Database.
