What steps has VSP taken to include the new HIPAA regulations?
HIPAA (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a large piece of legislation, which includes new protections to improve the availability of health insurance for individual who move from one job to another, who are self-employed or who have pre-existing medical conditions. VSP has continually monitored the status of proposed HIPAA regulations since 1998 and implements security measures mandated by those regulations.
