What steps are needed to establish my unit as a fast start resource to participate in the Forward Reserve Market?
Changing a units characteristics or bidding parameters to reflect the unit being a fast start or not a fast start will not necessarily be acknowledged by the ISO New England Control Room as such. In order for a unit to be considered a fast start or removed from fast start status, a formal request via ISO New England Customer Services needs to occur and subsequent process followed before the units fast start status will be changed and recognized for dispatch. An updated NX-12 form must be submitted, requesting fast start status. All NX-12 submissions should be sent to opanx12@iso-ne.com.
