What steps are involved in sponsoring a Live-in Caregiver?

Once you decide to sponsor, Evergreen Personnel will submit an application on your behalf to Human Resouces and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) for approval of your request for a Live-in Caregiver. If applying in Quebec, an application is also sent to Immigration Quebec to approve the qualifications of the caregiver you wish to sponsor. Upon approval of both these applications the prospective caregiver will apply for a Temporary Work Permit in his/her country of current residence. Applicants to Quebec must also apply for a Certificate of Acceptance (CAQ) before applying for a Work Permit. Once the Work Permit is issued he/she will be able to come to Canada to work.
