What state does the Appalachian Trail go through?
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia. In theory it does not pass through Georgia and only begins (or ends) at Springer Mountain in that state. An extension of the original trail does extend from the trailhead at Mount Katahdin in Maine into Canada called the International Appalaachian Trail and the Pinhoti Trail of Alabama marks its southern extension.
