Dave went up north for a day and a half with his dad in the fall of 1996 to play a resort that was called, at the time, Hidden Valley. They played 18 at the Lake Course (as it was known then) on Saturday, stayed in a small villa that night, and played 18 on the Classic on Sunday. While on the trip, Dave realized that this would be a heck of an excuse to get his friends together, go up north, party hard, and go golfing (four important things to a 20 year-old).
