What sports does SCA offer?
SCA offers individual and team athletic activities. All students may enter the 5K runs that the school participates in and students in grades 2-8 may join the after school running club which meets in the fall and in the spring. Elementary students in grades 2-4 may participate in the intramural soccer games held in March and middle school girls and boys may participate in spring soccer. SCA also offers basketball to students in grades 5-8. Plans are in the works to begin golf and tennis for students in middle school. Does SCA offer any foreign language courses? For this school year, 2010-2011, Spanish lessons will be integrated into the curriculum but will not be taught by a Spanish teacher. While this is an area that we strongly believe in, our primary focus is on the core components of the curriculum (reading, writing, and math) with Spanish being promoted as often as possible with the resources that are available.
