What speedo styles are common in Australia?
At present, blokes tend to wear speedos with 3 inch, 2 inch or 1.5 inch sides. Black, navy and blue speedos are most popular, followed by red speedos (such as those worn by North Bondi surf club members). Speedos with spliced sides are also popular; the spliced panels are a different colour to the rest of the pair of speedos. Patterned speedos are rare, but you’ll find blokes wearing them on larger, more populated beaches such as Bondi, Manly or along the Gold Coast.
