Once connected, the connection to Sure Scripts will enable the pharmacy to: receive and acknowledge a new prescription from a physician, send a request for additional refills, and receive the refill approval or denial response from the physician. Additional message types are being tested and will be implemented in 2006. Two for example are Change Rx and Cancel Rx messages.
