What special keys are active and/or useful during a multiplayer session?

~ (tilde) – while in the menus, toggles the Chat Pad off and on. Alt-F – shows frame rate. Alt-L – shows latency (ping time) to the server. Note that while in the menus, the Chat Pad must be off to retrieve the ping time, but on to display it. Simply hit the tilde key, Alt-L, and then tilde again. Enter – while in the car, this allows you to enter a line of chat text. Press Enter again to send it. V – while in the car and stopped, this allows you to jump to the next car and view the action from its cockpit. Be careful; if your car is stationary too long, it gets yanked from the world and returned to the Weekend screen. Shift-V – same as “V”, but jumps to the the car behind. Shift-R – repairs your car, if damaged, and sets it upright on the track, with fresh (cold) tires and fuel tank refilled to the level specified in your setup.
