What special equipment is required for an irrigation system?
The Associations Cross-Connection Control Program requires that irrigation systems have special equipment to prevent contaminated water from siphoning back (back flow) into plumbing and association water systems. Irrigation systems not protected by approved back flow prevention devices endanger the health of a household, neighborhood and community. All irrigation systems must be equipped with a State Health Department-approved back flow prevention assembly, that has been properly installed and meets the plumbing code.
