What sources can Decipher use for their material?

Our license only covers the following books: The Hobbit, Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King; and the New Line Cinemas films based off the latter three books. It also covers the prologues to The Lord of the Rings, but only the parts of the appendices that are not featured in Tolkiens other writings, notably The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.
