What sorts of financial aid or scholarship packages are available?
There are a variety of scholarships, loans and grants available for prospective teachers. The College of Education has information about the Cal T grant and others. Visit them for paperwork. • CSULB hosts a National Science Foundation grant, the Robert C. Noyce Fellowship, to support a limited number of students who want to earn a math or science teaching credential. Students earn $10,000/year while finishing their bachelor’s degree and credential. In return they are expected to teach in high needs school districts. Eligibility information and applications are available in the Science Education Office, SSCP Office, Math Department Office and Student Access to Science Center or the project website. Application deadlines are posted on the website. Please note that pending availability of funds there will be a fall and spring call for applicaitons.
