What sorts of artwork won Portrait Adoption accept?
Anything non-portrait related, like landscapes or still lifes of inanimate objects. We cannot accept fanart (work that includes recognizable, published characters, worlds or distinctive characteristics). We cannot accept “copies” of another artist’s work, or work derived from a previously existing piece – including photographs. If it might violate a copyright, please do not submit it. Also, we will not accept work that has had previous public exposure. If you have already posted a scan of an image online, available publicly either at your personal website or gallery, it is not eligible for portrait adoption. We also will reject badly scanned work, or work with very grievous technical flaws.
