When you view the results of searches, they can be sorted by any field of the database that you have open. By default the records are sorted in natural database order (i.e. with newest records entered into the database showing first). When you are in Informit Search click on the Options link (on the top right-hand corner of the screen). The window will change to Current Session Options. This area enables you to change the display of search results, including the way in which records are sorted, the number of records displayed per page, the fields to display, whether or not your search term is highlighted (hit highlighting), and whether records will appear with long, short, or compact labels. Changes made in this area apply only to your current session. To change these options as a default across all sessions (i.e. for all users of Informit), your subscription administrator will need to make changes via Informit Admin. Please note: Sorting of large result sets can be slow. Sorting is on

Citations can be sorted either by date (most recent first) or by relevance by clicking on the appropriate tab. How do I view the full text of an article? If the citation has a link to “Article,” the full text of the article is available. A link to “Journal Format-PDF” means the full image (with graphs, tables and photos) is available except when the UT System does not subscribe to the journal or the journal is a non-Elsevier journal.
