What sort of things can I recycle in Doncaster?
Throughout Doncaster there are facilities at Household Waste Recycling Centres for residents to recycle a number of materials, these include: Books, brick, rubble and soil, car and household batteries, cardboard, computers, cooking oil, electrical goods, engine oil, furniture, fridges and freezers, fluorescent tubes and energy saving bulbs, glass, green garden waste, hard plastics, inert materials, LPG gas bottles, metal cans and foil, paper, plastic bottles, plasterboard, liquid food cartons (tetra paks), scrap metal, textiles, tyres, TV’s, shoes and wood. There are also kerbside collections (collected in Green Boxes) of aerosols, paper, glass bottles and jars, shredded paper (bagged), catalogues, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminium and steel cans, tins and foil, mobile phones, ink cartridges, yellow pages, textiles and shoes from over 98% of households in the borough.
