What sort of Student Support is available?
We have a very good student support system in place and we are continually looking for ways in which this might be improved. Just before, you arrive at the University to commence your studies you will be allocated a Personal Tutor from the Politics Team. This person will look after your welfare during the first year of your programme. You will meet with your personal tutor regularly both on an individual basis, and as part of a personal tutorial group. The individual meetings you have with your personal tutor will give you the opportunity of taking up anything that is worrying you, and to generally review your work and the progress you are making. We are keen to identify any difficulties you may be experiencing in the transition to higher education in order that we can ensure that support mechanisms might be put in place to support you.
