What sort of results can I expect from PeriSphere ?
The results obtained can vary from site to site and are heavily dependent on the WAN traffic. Certain traffic can exhibit a much greater reduction than other traffic. As an example, HTTP traffic will typically be reduced by a factor of between 5 and 20 times (i.e. up to 95% reduction). This means that for every 20mB headed for the WAN, only 1mB would actually need to be transmitted. Other traffic, notably traffic with Client/Server based encryption or compression will reduce by a much smaller %. As a guide, all traffic will be significantly reduced with the exception of traffic consisting largely of non-IP data, compressed or encrypted data, non-TCP, non-UDP and some types of multi-cast traffic.
