What sort of recovery is there after eyelid surgery?
After eyelid surgery, bandages may be temporarily applied to the eyelids. Patients can expect some amount of swelling and bruising which you can help to alleviate by keeping the head elevated and applying cold compresses during the first few days. Most of the bruising will dissipate within about two to four weeks. Other side that patients may experience after eyelid surgery can include dryness, itching or a burning sensation of the eyes, tearing, blurred or double vision, and sensitivity to light.
