All eTrex models are using an ARM processor, which is a 32-bit CPU. This processor does about 1 MIPS pr. MHz. Even the older ARM7 core does 1 MIPS/MHz. In comparison the 386DX does 0.3 MIPS/MHz, and the 386SX is 0.25 MIPS/MHz. – Povl H.
